The 60th Anniversary of the Commando Gunners will be held in Plymouth over the weekend of the 13th - 15th of May 2022. The event is open to all ranks (including attached arms) who served from the formation until the current day. Those who wish to attend are requested to complete the attached Performa and return it promptly to allow for forward planning. The outline format of the weekend is as follows:
NOTE: Entrance to the Royal Citadel, you and your guests will require a wristband to gain entry on Saturday and Sunday, the wristbands can be collected Friday night or Saturday morning from a member of the committee.
This will be a meet and greet social event around the Barbican with a Curry or a Hog Roast at a cost of £5 per head. Note: YOU CANNOT pay on the night numbers and payments are required, in advance (Payment details below) RETURNS MUST BE SENT TO THE CGR SECRETARY

AM, Freedom of the City Parade with the serving Regiment. Following a similar route to that of the Commando 50th Parade.
The preferred dress (not essential) for participants would be Blazer with Beret and Medals, Slacks, Collar and Tie.
It is particularly important to have you there, so if you don’t have the aforementioned attire, you will still be welcome to join the Parade.
Commando Gunner Regroup Annual General Meeting
Immediately after the Freedom of the City Parade the AGM will be held in the Spean Bridge Club (NAAFI), and it is important that as many of you as possible attend to discuss the future of the organization. An agenda will be circulated nearer the time but please note that the current committee will be standing down from their positions after three years and will not be re-standing for election, the CGR needs your support. Those of you who willing and able to serve on the committee for the next two years are requested to notify either the current Chairman or Secretary of your interest by email to:

PM. Post AGM there will be Lunch Break during which you can get refreshments from the Marquee on the Regimental Square where there will also be a display of current Equipment and individual Battery History stands.
There will also be a ‘family themed’ fun day until 1600hrs.
From that point on there will be refreshments and entertainment which will run from 1600hrs until 2130hrs, this timing will allow the Regiment to clear the camp and lock it down for security reasons. Those who wish are free to continue the motion down at the Barbican
Sunday 15th May 2022
1100hrs (TBC) A Memorial Service will be conducted at the Regimental Memorial, dress again is as for the Parade but not essential whereas your attendance is. This will be followed by a Curry Lunch with further refreshments inside the Citadel.
Dispersal
The Citadel must be cleared of all attendees by early evening for security reasons, again those whose livers are still functioning, are free to carry on down at the Barbican.

With reference to the above, we are now in the late stages of planning and finalising the plans for the Anniversary.
We have had an excellent response of attendee’s the Barbican is going to be a busy place on the night of the 13th May 2022,
The Commando Gunner Regroup (GCR) is responsible for updating the planning team(s), a point that needs addressing is:
Individuals that cannot march but wish to be seated by the saluting dais on Royal Parade

Numbers will be restricted waiting confirmation, to that it will be first come basis. (Veterans only)
Sunday Lunch: will be pay as you dine: However for counting purposes numbers attending will be required,
